From the other thead........Feds provide block grants to the states with some eligibility rules......states then are free to make their own rules, as long as Fed rules are met.

So in effect both are guilty to one degree or another.

Don't forget WA in there too. Fergie passed his own version of a Big Beautiful Bill, which dumps more taxes on us to pay for their crazy spending.

Not too many years ago we had a huge surplus of funds (millions? or billions?, not sure which) that 'disappeared' under Inslee's spending. Now Fergie has taken over the purse strings, with plenty of spending on the tax payers backs.......though I will give him an inkling of credit for not agreeing with the state reps wanting to do away with our property tax cap, currently at 1% and has been for many years, but they wanted up to 3%....idiots
