No politician is required to renounce his or her religion in order to serve in office. Absolutely no family member of a politician is required to renounce a religion.
Democrats will never stop attacking the Pence family religion because democrats can't hang a rape accusation against Mike Pence.
No one asked the Pence's to "renounce their religion". We're saying that she shouldn't be working for a school which violates people's constitutional rights, and which is only legal because is't a private institution which accepts no public funds.
So what you and the mouse in your pocket are saying is, "Believe whatever you want . . . but don't you dare act on it or in any way let anyone know about it!"
Yeah, nothing wrong with that.
And Constitution? Really? Please cite me the portion of the Constitution that says, "Private entities must accept any student or employee that demands it, and cannot set any standards for operation". I must have missed that part.
I'm just laughing at "Violates the Constitution, but is legal". Seriously, whatever drugs you're on, your doctor needs to change your dose before you lose more brain cells.
You are absolutely right.
If any private school wants to teach that gays are perverts and an abomiantion
or that muslims are all terrorists
or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters
or that christians are dominionist theocrats who want to take away everyones rights
that school has every right to do so. (that IS what you are saying, right?)
And if the wife of a US president wants to work for a private school that teaches
that gays are perverts and an abomination
or that muslims are all terrorists
or that atheists are all devil worshiping god haters
or that christians are the enemies of allah
then she has every right to do so and nobody should judge her.
So if Michelle Obama worked for an islamic school that taught that christians were all enemies of allah you would have NO problem with it.
right?
or is that different?
is it ok for a christian school to promote hatred and intolerance against gays or atheists and muslims but it would be BAD if any school did the same thing to christians?
Yes, I'm absolutely saying that your uninformed, bigoted view of Christianity is exactly correct. How clever of you to recognize that without my ever having said a word about it.
When you learn to ask a question like an adult, instead of a tantrum-throwing kindergartner, perhaps I'll dignify it.
The fact that you keep accusing me of things that aren't true just because I have a more rational opinion than you worries me.
Do you always accuse people of throwing "temper tantrums" when they try to debate with you?
when you accuse people of "throwing temper tantrums" are YOU throwing a temper tantrum?
It seems, so far from what I've read from you, that you accuse ANYONE who doesn't shout "I love the CHRISTIAN GOD! of being a christian hater.
This is not just irrational and illogical but seemingly dangerous.
I know MANY christians who I do NOT hate.
I'll go so far as to say that I don't hate christians at all, I hate right wing conservatives who are trying to impose their religious beliefs me.
There are many liberal christians who also speak out against evangelical extremists.
do you think THEY hate chrisitans, too?
You seem incapable of civil debate.
Your first reaction tends to be "ATTACK! MOCK! RIDICULE! INSULT! and then demand respect!"
and you have questioned my maturity.
So far the only person showing a great lack of maturity and hatred is you.
Now accuse me of something.....it is what you do best.....
You're really delusional. I "accused" you of being a bigot and asking questions the way a child throwing a temper tantrum does. Let's take a look at your post.
"You are absolutely right.

or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters

I'm absolutely right about that, am I? Perhaps you can show me where I ever said any of that tripe, that I'm now "right" about it.
I have a 10-year-old who gets all upset and emotional when he gets corrected or disciplined, and his response is inevitably along the lines of, "So I guess I just never get to [fill in the blank] again", "So you just want me to never have friends or play games", or similar hyperbolic overreaction. Sounds remarkably like your post. The difference is, he's ten, and is expected to be emotional and illogical. You, presumably, are older than ten.
Now you come back and say, "The fact that you keep accusing me of things that aren't true just because I have a more rational opinion than you worries me."
I think it's pretty obvious to anyone who isn't you that you did exactly what I "accused" you of. Your opinion is "more rational", is it? So you're really going to stand by attributing "gays are perverts and an abomiantion, or that muslims are all terrorists, or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters" to a school you know nothing about as a "rational opinion", are you?
"Do you always accuse people of throwing "temper tantrums" when they try to debate with you?"
No, and I didn't accuse you of throwing a temper tantrum, either. I accused you of asking questions the way a child who is throwing a temper tantrum does.
The real question is, do YOU really think "If any private school wants to teach that gays are perverts and an abomiantion, or that muslims are all terrorists, or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters, or that christians are dominionist theocrats who want to take away everyones rights" qualifies as DEBATE? You honestly classify that post as debating?
"It seems, so far from what I've read from you, that you accuse ANYONE who doesn't shout "I love the CHRISTIAN GOD! of being a christian hater."
Yes, that's a TOTALLY rational assumption to make. Because this thread has been FULL of people who are just calmly and mildly saying, "I don't agree with Christianity", and I've been shouting, "Christ hater!" out of nowhere with no provocation. Like you, for example.
We could go on with this, but I think I've made my point. One of us is overreacting like a spoiled, irrational child, and it's not me.
One final thing: I haven't demanded anyone's respect at all. I realize this will be hard for you to understand, but I wouldn't take the respect of someone who acts like you, because I don't respect you enough to value your approval as anything but an insult.
Btw, Karen Pence isn't the wife of a US President, Mr. Rational; her husband is the VICE President. Kinda hard to convince people you're the grown-up in the room when you can't even talk straight.
