Meanwhile, in Oklahoma

This is one of the creepiest things I've ever read out of an elected official.

On Thanksgiving no less. This is what those who came here, fled from.
What creepy about it? Makes perfect sense…if you are going to teach a course on the Bible to have someone teach it that knows about it

Frankly I find the OP and it’s article weird to make that an issue

Apparently yes. Don;t worry about it. tRumplings are good at ignoring things they don't want to believe.
I think we all picked up on the fact you don’t know the difference between tails and tales

Not so.

The Bible as history is completely different from promoting an establishment of religion.

You need to get up to speed. Have a cup of coffee.
Yeah, right.

So, if we're talking American history, Joe Smith's bible must take top of the study heap, Shirley?

Who cares what he said, doofus?

Millions - yes, millions - of people feel this way. It's still thoroughly unconstitutional.

You're being a gullible fool. The leftard media is eating away your brain.

No, I do not believe millions and millions do. Most Christians understand you can not force anything on anyone and they actually do respect the Constitution.

If you are teaching history you have to teach the complete history. Granted we have only taught the parts we like in the past but that isn't right.

And if you are teaching history, a history teacher can do that.

That's not what he said. Sadly many trying to defend what he said can't actually be honest about it.

He expressed that he wants his children to learn about the Bible in school, but that someone who also learned about and practices the Bible should be the instructor.

A history teacher can learn and teach about Nazi Germany without having practiced it.

As a Christian I would ensure my child was able to skip the class and replaced with an educational one. This seems like a form of indoctrination this white male lifelong Christian could not accept.

Oklahoma just wants to create a job for loafers, guys that can't get a real job in the free market.

And how do you practice a country? Weird.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

A better compassion is, a basketball coach. Sure someone that has never played can teach someone how to play, but it’s far better to have someone that has practiced and played rhe game

I don’t think teaching the practice of the Bible needs to be taught in public schools either.

I don’t have a problem with a religious studies elective, but that doesn’t need to teach the practice of any one religion

I'm wondering what oklahoma is trying to do with this? What's the goal?

Yeah, not sure. Not really looked into it…I live 100s of miles away. I’m sure the citizens there can figure it out and decide what’s best for them, and/or the judicial system can determine if it’s legal

It's okay for Marxist Democrats to push their LBGTQ+Pedo/Baby Murder agenda, but God forbid anyone push a more family friendly one. Why does morality bother you so much?
Lol, your manufactured rage is dismissed.

Ten women in Trump's Cabinet picks and one of them will be the FIRST female Chief of Staff. We're not going into any Handmaid's tale scenario. It's nonsense. A stupid claim.
10 got cabinet positions (I do NOT wanna know how) and 150,000,000 + lost rights.

Teachers can potentially sue a State Superintendent or school district for issues related to religious discrimination or violations of their rights under the First Amendment.
And I have no doubt that some or even many will.

I do have serious doubts that it will do any good in the current climate of RWNJ whack-jobbery.

My bad there. Voice to text failed me and I didn't proofread.

They are getting ready to fire the teachers in favor of "religious scholars".

One step closer to the republican's dream of bringing the handmaid's tail to real life.

How dare we introduce children to morals, and ethos like "love your neighbor"..... Evil I tell ya....

Yeah, right.

That is an interesting point.

I think it went right past everyone else, but It was founded here, and the other one was not.
