Folks are saying FU to overpriced FF swill.....They have all gone off the rails....Taco Bell has laughable prices these days for what you get.

Pay $15.00 and hour (unless they are illegals) and what do you expect?

The food sucks, it's loaded with garbage, and their ads only seem to cater to black people.

A beefy five layer burrito is a part of Taco Bells $5 box. The Burrito, a taco, cinnamon crisps and a drink. $5.

I have no problem with people condemning something. Just not dishonestly.

Now to the issue. When I retired 4 1/2 years ago you could get two sausage mcmuffins and a large Coke for $3.

When it went to over $6, I quit going. (breakfast food was the only McD's food I could stomach.).

I do on occasion get the Taco Bell $5 box.

It's a $7.00 box in my AO now.

Beefy 5-Layer Burrito

$4.19 | 490 Cal

Taken from the menu at my local TB's website so i suspect the $5.36 price is accurate in certain TBs.

Still and all, $4.19 (not including state and local meals tax) for that!

Come on man.

Rather spend a few more bucks and get real food.
Mc Donald's has outpriced it's customers for low quality food.
Big Mac meal for 12 bucks?
Nope!! :eusa_hand:
I like an occasional BK Whopper.....A guilty pleasure though it is the second most healthy FF burger.

Now instead of two Whoppers for $5.00 it's two Whopper Jrs for $5.00.

Oh well that "problem" is soon to be solved.....They are going to close down the BK in my AO.

There is a $5, $7 and $9 dollar box. I can't speak for the entire country but even your example counters the meme. Maybe the figure is correct in downtown NYC but that does not make for a good argument.

LOL....$4.19 (sans taxes) makes for a damn good argument.

You could go into a 7-11 and get a better example for half the price.

Back during the Obama era, some of the local Republicans would meet at McDonald's in the morning for coffee and conversation. None of them I know would be caught dead in that nasty place now.

Does anyone eat at McDonalds very rarely, like me?

If so, do you always get a stomach ache when you are done eating a cheeseburger and fries? There is something about that meal that gives me a stomach ache, even though the meal (when fresh) tastes good. I'm glad, it serves as a warning not to eat there.

I'm amazed that people order this food on DoorDash, I view it as emergency rations when traveling.

Yes which is why I never get anything but breakfast there. (and no longer that)

Seems to be a trend of fast food these days to serve bland food out of bland depressing buildings.

The local Mickey D's in my AO looks like that and is filled with old people nursing a cup of coffee for hours and bullshitting every morning.....I'd toss them out on their ear or just close the dining area till lunch time.

Hardees did that years ago with the old farts so they moved to Mickey D's.

You hit it on all three points. There's nothing edible there, and all the ads feature blacks. Their slogan "I'm lovin' it" is blackese.

If I eat out, I go to Golden Corral. I get the 80% gift cards from Sam's, go in the off-hours when it's cheaper, and get points on the app which amounts to another 10% off. If I'm in another city and in a hurry, I go to Chipotle.

A properly made Whopper can be tasty, but my local BK ruined it for me years ago by serving it with green tomatoes that still had the core, wilted lettuce cut into chunks and so much mayo it would slop out on your lap. I started calling it the Slopper.
I can't believe the franchise is still open as it looks like no one is ever there anymore.

My dad was an old fart "offender" at Hardees.

I swear, I saw him parked there one morning and decided to stop and ask him a question about one of our hunting leases.

It was like walking into a western saloon! All conversation stopped, heads turned my way, and they just stared at me.

Now I'd known all the people sitting there my whole life.....Nary a hey, how you doing, or nothing.

WTF, I thought I was gonna have to "get it on" for invading their turf. :laughing0301:

I've said the exact same thing. I don't know who McDonald's hired for their new depressing look. It looks like a warehouse.
Taco Bell, BK and Arby's have all taken on that minimalist architecture.
Only Culver's has kept their same look.

I remember when Arby's had the roasters cooking the beef fresh and sliced your meat to order. The place smelled so good.
Now the beef is that pressed crap.
