Kinzinger has already decided not to run for reelection.

McCarthy is just being pragmatic. There is no upside for him sticking his neck out for a lost cause. He's an establishment politician...he doesn't has principles... only triangulation.

Cheney's and her Dad Dick gambled that using the Cheney name against Trump would erode Trump's support with the Republican Party base and help return the party to the control of the Republican establishment. It was a bad bet and Liz Cheney's political career is forfeit as a result.
