Sanctuary cities just correctly separate federal from state jurisdiction.
State and local officials do not have authority or jurisdiction to even ask someone what their citizenship status is, and certainly cannot legally detain or serve a federal warrant. The sanctuary cities are the only ones NOT breaking the law.
