To be honest, I doubt they move because I doubt Mamdani actually achieves half the shit he's pledging to do. Not for a lack of effort, but because he'll have to fight the rest of city hall, his own state government, and the federal government. He won't win. He'll try, but he'll lose.

I think you're underestimating the power of the progressive movement in NY. Governor Hochul is partnering with Mayor Mamdani on a $1.5B bill. And the Mayor has other options should the Wealth Tax be held up.
