Putin did his best to give Trump a leg up. He created a dedicated unit, Guccifer 2.0, to create social media pages and fake groups to influence American voters. It's all in the Mueller report which Trump desperately does not want you to ever read.
And it is a fact that Trump's campaign manager, Paul Manafort, provided the Trump campaign's internall polling data to the Russians so they could better fine tune their messaging on American social media.
Trump himself did not actively collude with Russia. He didn't need to.
His idiot son tried to collude, but fucked it up.
There is strong circumstantial evidence Trump knew his son was colluding.
Junior was approached via email and told the "crown prosecutor of Russia" had some dirt on Hillary and was wondering if Trump boi was interested. Then came the infamous reponse:
"Seems we have some time and if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer."
Junior and Paul Manafort then met with a Russian lawyer in Trump Tower. In exchange for providing some dirt about Hillary to the Trump boy, the Trumps were supposed to agree to review the Magnitsky Act if daddy won.
Now that is collusion. No ifs, ands, or buts.
However, some confusion ensued, and the lawyer was not satisfied, and therefore reneged on providing the Hillary dirt.
So here's the thing.
Just prior to the Thursday Trump Tower meeting between his son, his campaign manager, and the Russians, Donald Trump, Sr. alerted the media on that same day that he was going to have some really bad information about Hillary he would be releasing the following Mondy.
But the collusion meeting failed, and what do you know, Trump's big Monday press conference never happened.
Just days later, Guccifer 2.0 released Hillary's hacked emails.
There simply is no way to determine how many votes Putin swung Trump's way. However, after the release of Hillary's emails by Putin, we saw this stunning result:
New poll: 34 percent 'less likely' to vote for Clinton after new email revelations
.
Would Trump have won without Putin's help? We will never know.
But to Trump, the very idea that he may have won because Putin helped him drives Trump insane. His ego cannot handle it.
That's why he tried to quash Mueller's investigation. That's why he tries to discredit every aspect of the factual nature of Putin's interference with his stupid "Russia Russia Russia" smoke and mirrors bullshit.
Trump obstructed Mueller's investigation. It's always the coverup which is worse than the crime. Especially since Trump did not commit a crime until he obstructed Mueller.
Trump is now trying to re-litigate the history of Russia's interference in the 2016. Probably because he has meeting with Putin in Alaska soon. The worms have been reactivated.
