Mass vs density vs weight

Fat folks tend to stay above water more than muscular guys due to density differences
Then why don't fat slobs win the swim?

You are really confused
Congratulations. You just argued against the principles of displacement and buoyancy with a logical fallacy straw man argument. Brilliant. :icon_rolleyes:
After you show a 500lb slob finishing a 5 mile swim because they are too fat to sink
Which has nothing to do with the phenomenon of buoyancy.
What makes buoyancy a phenomenon?

Be descriptive, and fat 500lb slobs not being able to swim well even though they are somewhat more buoyant than healthy people has nothing to do with either buoyancy or displacement. Not sure why you are confusing the two
Being less dense than water !!

Wrong since the 500lb slob is less dense than water but still can't ever complete the swim your theory flails

Medication required now

Big metal ships can use the same physics by only having their hulls be lighter than the water as it makes contact
Hulls are mostly air
Actually ship hulls are mostly steel, aluminum, or even possibly titanium.

Can you list the medications that you take
Their insides are just open air ; otherwise , the ship has zero buoyancy

The insides of the hull are typically solid steel. But that's ok you are actually an internet engineer of the schizoid variety so it's all real with you

You’re a complete ignoramus

And in your schizzo mind ships hulls are mostly made of air
