Actually numbnuts, we have. Restorative justice may work on LOW LEVEL first offenders, but not on predicate felons, nor on those who commit heinous crimes like this. And an overly generous welfare state is not the solution. People sitting on their asses waiting for their government check every month doesn't instill pride nor accomplishment.

A system is not a thing. It is a series of things that make or break the sought-after goal. Neither banned guns (USA) nor rehabilitation (Norway) is the answer to crime-fighting. Those are necessary in conjunction with other measures to make them succeed. This should be obvious but the American population has been denied rational thought.

This asshole murdered 77 people. 21 years means only about 99 days per victim, effectively treating each murder ass a minor misdemeanor.
