Maryland Woman Calls ICE On Illegals In The Crew Working On Her House

If you called ICE everytume a Mexican showed up on a work crew out in the SW, you'd need a bigger phone battery. Sometimes just because they speak no English out loud and they have purple necks, we'll not all are illegal.

Sadly, you're probably right, she needs good security. So I'll give her all the kudos now.

Isn't it sad -- so many people hate us for being law-abiding people.

.

Actually, it sounds like she's an awful person.

She didn't ask about the legal status of this crew before they started work. She waited until they were done to call the ICEstapo on them.

If she waited until they were nearly done to contact ICE, then it sounds like she knowingly allowed illegal immigrants to do the job. She directly benefited from the cheap labor cost that comes with illegal immigration.

Sounds pretty hypocritical.

Didn't sound cheap to me.

Cute post.

It's fun to watch your ass burn when stuff like this happens.

More than likely the main contractor that sold her the roof were very nice white people who in turn subcontract the job out.
For definitely an inflated estimate.

On the day of work a van overloaded with ladders and gear will pour out Mexicans like a clown car and jam out the roof in one day.
The lead sub will speak English and drive a nice truck, but only directs the workers who have questionable legal status.
No one checks anything. Just the way things are in residential construction.

The subcontractor is technically responsible for their workers, but nothing is enforced, nor is government capable or staffed enough for enforcement.

Lol.
White roofers.
You might as well believe that unicorns are real.
I was a blanco roofer when I was 18. There are probably more monotonous lines of work, but I can't think of one right now.

Or more dangerous. I knew a guy who fell three stories while doing a roofing job.

He survived with a scratch or two.

He's a devout Catholic.

Framing was actually more dangerous, if you know what walking top plates means. Especially before plumb and lining, when the braces get secured.

I know nothing about construction, so I'll trust you.

15th post
I had friends in the 2 and 3 story clubs. I fell twice, but just on top of the wall, not to the ground.

Man!

I have never been up on the roof. Terrifies me!

Sometimes, here in the brutal winters in the Midwest, our sewer vents can get frozen up, and if we don't deal with it, it makes life very ugly inside the house. The guy I talked about who fell from the third story does my handywork around the house, and has assured me that I can count on him to get up on my two story roof to de-freeze the vent if necessary. I can't believe he could do that, on a slippery roof in winter, after the close call he had.

Kudos to people who can work that way.

Sounds like your roofer has a different kind of ICE issue.
