Mars Helicopter Ready to Fly

I just don't see the big deal.
Eighty million dollars worth!
Yeah 80 million for what amounts to a child's toy but it's on Mars.

Waste of fucking money
The Perseverance Rover mission is 2.5 billion dollars. NASA has to find a way to lower costs. Privatizing it more with their schematics may get it lower. Also the home grown project NASA practice of having all the states with multiple areas of the states producing parts sounds patriotic but it is extremely expensive.

I used to program computers so updating and controlling a drone 34 million miles away is impressive. It's supposed to lead to human exploration of Mars this decade or next, so they want these machines to be successful.
