That is true but everything in life has a cost. We, as a country, need to think about maintaining our infrastruture in positive condition, help Americans that are unable to help themselves, and keep everything working smoothly for all Americans (not just for the rich corporations).

Life is all about give and take and everyone has to give some to get some.

Profits for corporations have been exorbitant for years and everything else that the government is supposed to take care of has suffered. Individual corporations do not give a hoot about infrastructure, about education, about transportation, about police, about feeding the people not able to feed themselves.

This is a Constitutional based country where things have to be agreed to by both parties or at least a big majority meaning that want they want does not necessarily happen. Nonetheless, Trump wants to get rid of the Constitution and do what HE wants. He is a problem, Harris is not.

The use of the word Democracy is to show that we are a country where the majority rules. Our elections are about the majority with the exception that it is the electoral vote that counts and not the majority vote. Nonetheless, votes are still what decides who the President is, who the Senators are, and who the Representatives are.

Everything else you mention is garbage. This is not about Morning Joe (which by the way, I never listen to) or about Stalinists. It is about votes decide who our leaders and not one person or a small group of powerful and rich persons, deciding.

As far as the proposals or amendments of the Constitution, they do weaken the voting process. In addition, Trump did try to go behind the Constitution and abuse his power. It was why he was impeached. The impeachment did not get passed because the Senate decided for Trump before any proof or evidence was given, meaning that the Senate also acted behind the Constitution.

You ignore those clear facts but they do show that Trump and the Far Right are not being faithful to the Constitution. They are not doing what is correct, they are doing what they want to do. That is not what the Constitution is about.

Oh stop with the abuse of power. Biden, Obama, Clinton they all did it. So did Bush and Cheney. That's a stupid excuse. There is no proposal that would weaken the voting process. Making sure only citizens get to vote strengthens the voting process. Voter ID also strengthens the voting process making sure only citizens get to vote. You need an ID to get into a bar legally but you don't need one to vote for a President who will have their fingers on the nuke buttons? How stupid can you be?

Trump was impeached because the Democrats did not one of their own in power doing things that helped the country and the world. It's as simple as that. Democrats are power hungry tyrants as they showed during Covid shutdowns. Thankful for the Senate who saw the wisdom not to vote for removal. Trump and the far right are doing what the Constitution requires. Freedom of speech, religion and the right to bear arms. What the Democrats did is lawfare against their rival party.
