I stopped smoking after many failed hip replacements. I didnt have a choice,it was pain meds or weed.

Hm. I'm the opposite. I started smoking so I wouldn't have to use opiates. I tried the pain meds for a month, they were unpleasant. I need a powerful anti inflammatory, my doctor tried at least 20 different treatments including steroids and all the rest, the only thing that worked is called indomethacin and it destroys your stomach after about 30 days or so. Finally in desperation I asked the doc if there wasn't something else, and he shuts the door and makes a motion like he's smoking a roach, and I'm like really? Anyway, it works, it doesn't exactly take away the pain but it lets me think about it less. If you're like me you have to get the strains that are rich in beta-caryophylline. Some of the dumpier strains work better. CBD doesn't work at all, for me anyway.

Meh, I don't really see it -- maybe that was true in the 60s or 70s, with the whole antiwar movement, but the only correlation I see these days is unemployment. There's also growing evidence marijuana leads to mental health disorders if consumed on a regular basis at an early age. My late nephew developed schizophrenia in his early 20s and was a pretty consistent marijuana user as a teen, so I don't consider it a harmless drug.

But for everyone of you, there are many others who struggle every day with marijuana addiction and they’re not doing anything productive. They literally wake up in the morning and start smoking weed and do it all day.
