Where I live, we understand "nut freezing". When you're outside and have to take a leak, you'd better have a string tied to 'it'.

Nothing so amusing as the sound of urine freezing in mid-flight and clattering to the ice. But ya gotta be fast else the stagmite might catch up and invade. Best to pee outdoors at -61 whilst briskly walking backward. But not near the edge of the sea ice.

My girlfriend and I will most likely leave Ohio when we retire, but it will have nothing to do with taxes, or cost of living. She just hates winter and wants to retire somewhere warm. With baby boomers retiring at an ever increasing rate, this is not at all a surprise. It also doesn't prove much of anything other than old people prefer warmer weather.

So what's your explanation for all the young people moving away?

I work outdoors it does getting freezing cold around here.

The Vortex gave me a four below zero... due to the elevation here in WNC my weather is about the same as Pennsylvania at sea level. I've never needed an air conditioner, but yes, it is humid.

The Vortex is a rare anomaly. Where I live, we understand "nut freezing". When you're outside and have to take a leak, you'd better have a string tied to 'it'.

Yeah I wouldn't call four below "nut freezing". I'd call it "snot freezing".
Snot the same degree, so to speak.

Not to mention the illegals that flood your state.

racist....thats what you would be called by the activists and far left here for saying that.....even though it has contributed.....

Funny thing about overuse of a term, pretty soon it's effectiveness erodes until it means nothing. By current liberal definition, I am quite comfortable being labeled a racist. I know better, my friends, co-workers, casual acquaintances...pretty much everybody who has contct with me, knows better than some clueless libtard on an anonymous board.

im talking about those people in this State, not on the board....you would be called one for saying what you did earlier....

You'll be sorry when they start wanting stuff like schools and paved roads and sewage treatment and police and fire protection and all the other government services that come with increased population.

You know what they say, "call something paradise, kiss it goodbye."

actually we are already sorry - stay in your leftard paradise, we don't want your voting habits here.

What's the difference between a good Yankee and a bad Yankee?

The good Yankee GOES BACK HOME!

Don't worry pal, I have no need to leave my ancestral home for a lower standard of living.

Most trades are better off being practiced in lower income areas as the competition for tradesmen is national these days, while cost of living is local.

When I moved from DC to Fredericksburg, My salary did not go up, but my discretionary income did as my cost of living went down.

So how do you lose out, unless you are some kind of whore living on what the locals would give out for your services...oh, now you account name makes sense.....

Good with all the smart people leaving your rats nest your kind will just die away.

It's the losers that are leaving and heading your way.

Once again they are the smart people. The losers are those who have lost their rights in those rat holes the nanny state and those taxes the nanny state requires you pay. Yes you are really smart little boy for wanting to stay their
Here let me pat you on the head for all your brilliance:eusa_whistle:

He means the people that are wanting to actually work instead of live on the government dole....by Dimbocrap standards that is a 'loser'.

The winners: Oregon and the Carolinas.

The losers: New Jersey, Illinois, and New York

Liberals stay the fuck out of my state.

Most Americans can't afford to live in Manhattan.

And California's hippy Governor Brown turns the state around and people continue to flock.

he did?......something like 30 out of 58 Counties are 9% UE or better.....thats turning it around?.....the Wealthier Counties are doing ok....but turning it around?....for some yea....
this is as of last summer....

California Counties: California?s unemployment rate by county - Data Desk - Los Angeles Times

The rich in Californica are putting the whole burden of their dystopia onto the middle class, and so the middle class flees, leaving it to the rich and their black market labor.

They will seriously regret their stupidity in the near future, in say about 10-15 years.

If they were smart they would be regretting it already as the job makers are now fleeing.

Whow slow your roll down their slick.
He's doing a wonderful job
He's repairing what years of democrat damage has done.
The high fuel cost is because of the damn democrat tax increases
It was Purdue that slashed education, she took money from the education lottery to be used else where.
And giving tax breaks to companies to get them here is what all states do.
The man has signed into law some of the best gun legislation this state has seen in a very long time.

Well you can keep him. I am moving to Tn in July.

McCrory's education budget is deceptive | North Carolina | Indy Week

I don't know WHY the fuel cost is so high I just know it is and its not getting any better. Especially when I can go into Ga and get it for 10 cents less.
He gave tax breaks to the utility companies so they have less taxes to pay AFTER they have raised our utility rates! WHAT THE FUCK!? Oh and he expects them to pass the tax cuts to them on to us...RIGHT!
I don't pay much attention to the gun laws here...I don't own any right now and I am moving in several months...can't wait. Oh have you gotten any seatbelt tickets yet? LOL...been fighting my current one since June...I find it amusing and it pisses the courts off.
Your link is from the biggest liberal run area in North Carolina, I would take what they said with a grain of salt.
the gas tax is from past democrat controlled legislation.
He's doing a good job considering that he has to rebuild from the damage the democrats have done.

'National Socialist' is a libtard sock; seems his true colors are finally bleeding through.

lol, yeah don't 'mine' earning a living like a fucking peasant/indentured servant, just the way the libtard rich like the working class.

and losers from around the rest of the Country who have moved here over the last 30 or so years has made California what it is today....

Not to mention the illegals that flood your state.

racist....thats what you would be called by the activists and far left here for saying that.....even though it has contributed.....

Yeah, the libtards have a real problem when people start speaking the TRUTH of a matter.

In other words RINOS you fucking moron. Republicans like McCain doesn't have to be the exact person someone like them you stupid fucking idiot.

Are you so dense that you're just incapable of admitting you fucked up, ever?

Not one of those people is from California. NOT ONE.

Dumb shit.

Your just fucking dense that you don't realize you didn't comprehend what I said.
Only someone who lacks common sense wouldn't know McCain is not from California, or any of the others I mentioned, now pull up your big boy pants and move on.

He comprehends you full well; he is just trying to piss you off because he is a fucking stupid ass troll.

or New York to New Hampshire. Surely they must love colder weather.

So the argument is people are leaving states for warmer weather states?
OK can someone explain why all the states that have restrictive gun laws are losing people but the states that are bordered with them are gaining people?
Example New York- New Jersey lost while New Hampshire Vermont gained?

Go figure, the states with the most/largest military bases/personnel has the most incoming moving trucks. Still, this does not account for all of it. And yet, liberals a fleeing the lands they destroyed only to move to the South and vote the same way they did up North. Shameful.

I do. I moved here from one of them pale-neutral states (Sleaziana) and it had absolutely zero to do with work, absolutely zero to do with gun laws, absolutely zero to do with military bases, absolutely zero to do with states whose third letter is a fucking consonant, or whatever other cockamamie theory you wanna come up with in an endless paralysis through analysis.

I moved to a better climate that was centrally located for what I needed and a more rural rustic setting than where I was. Because I could afford to do that. Nothing more complex than that. I'd hazard a guess that there are a lot of people my age that can now afford to do that too, since we're retiring.

Matter of fact I wouldn't mind buying back by grandfather's old place and relocating to Maine. It's on the back burner but again, it would have nothing to do with military bases or work or gun laws or any of that irrelevant crap. Except it would involve work in the sense that work will be no longer necessary, which frees up where I locate.

Sizing this up by state is meaningless. Every state has its diversity of regions. Break it down by county and maybe you can derive some reasoning. Moving out of Chicago isn't the same thing as moving out of Champaign.
