“This Is A Big One”: Trump Breaks 20-Year Trend
For the first time in 20 years, Americans feel like the country is going in the right direction. A survey published in mid-February from Rasmussen Reports revealed that for the first time in 20 yea…wokespy.com

Many of Trump’s early actions are unpopular, Post-Ipsos poll finds
Reviews from Americans on Trump’s second term are mixed to negative, and 57 percent say he has exceeded his authority since taking office.
Board System Asks: Is this already being discussed? I answer "Not that I know of. I've searched. I've seen this article posted as a reply or something in a Putin thread. Not sure wtf that was about.
So, drum-roll please...

President Donald Trump has opened his second term with a flurry of actions designed to radically disrupt and shrink the federal bureaucracy, but reviews from Americans are mixed to negative on many of his specific initiatives, and 57 percent say he has exceeded his authority since taking office, according to a Washington Post-Ipsos poll.Updated: February 20, 2025 at 8:45 a.m. EST today
Interesting is this: Overall, 43 percent of Americans say they support what the president has done during his first month in office, with 48 percent saying they oppose. Those who strongly oppose outnumber those who strongly support by 37 percent to 27 percent. Much of what Trump is doing with his so-called shock & awe attacks through a flurry executive orders, is strongly opposed by American citizens.
The president’s supporters applaud him for deporting undocumented immigrants and cutting government waste. Those unhappy with the direction he is taking the country say they fear Trump is allowing billionaire Elon Musk to dismantle critical government programs.
In their first 100 days in office (a fairly new benchmark), Presidents have been know to overreach. Also, they've been known to overestimate the support from the America public for themselves personally, and for their policies.
another article is more interesting when Dante's argument(s) is put forth:
Trump’s honeymoon is over
New polling shows Trump’s approval ratings declining — and a number of major warning signs appearing.
snippet:
President Donald Trump came into office claiming a sweeping and historic mandate, but that was always oversold.
Trump’s win was relatively modest, historically speaking. And while his approval rating upon taking office reached a new all-time high for him — around 50 percent — his “honeymoon” phase still paled in comparison with every modern president not named Trump.
And now, after one month in office, whatever honeymoon (and mandate) Trump enjoyed appears to be slipping away.
Multiple polls this week have shown his approval rating dropping into more normal territory for him, in the mid-40s. And a new Washington Post-Ipsos poll crystallizes a number of warning signs for Trump’s agenda of drastic and legally dubious change.
Indeed, Americans seem to be quite concerned by how far Trump is going, and most of his signature policies and initiatives appear to be quite unpopular — especially those spearheaded by billionaire Elon Musk.

They don't see the world as normal people. They have no or little empathy, and most of them are not curious.
