Al Franken achieved something the former president never did...won a popular vote.
but the recount lasted months...had he been seated earlier Obama would have been credited with signing a public option for health care into law...tough shit

Yeah, first race was tight against incumbent norm coleman. Franken lead the whole time as coleman pushed every button to delay his swearing in. Second race not so close for the republics.
