The School Board had let his wife go and he had lost his job. He snapped.

This guy clearly had handled his gun before. He was relaxed, assured, and confident. Not a nervous bone in his body throughout the entire ordeal. The dumbfuck lady hit him with her purse - did he shoot her? No. He very calmly dismissed her, letting her go.

He was mere feet from these people, shooting his gun without a bit of adrenaline. If he had wanted to shoot them, he would have.
