I bet the guy's wife put in her 4 years, was eligible for tenure, then they fired her.

Considering the jerk she was married to, she probably deserved to be fired

Who's dumber?

The guy, or the purse lady?

Although I don't condone this kind of thing, the target, superintendent Bill Husfelt, didn't do himself any favours by patronizing and talking down to a man at his wits end who was waving a loaded gun around.

The woman, Ginger Littleton, who attacked the gunman, Clay Duke, with her handbag, committed an incredibly brave and selfless act and should be applauded, not scoffed at. She improvised with what she had to hand in an unenviably volatile situation.

An early news account said he might have been firing blanks. Aparently that's not the case.
Intense videos.
It's just amazing that all of his shots missed persons. He was only 6-8' from his targets.

I suspect, and as the school board official who was trying to talk him down said, that this guy planned a suicide-by-cop. But, he only got wounded by a retired cop and ended up taking his own life.

Very bizarre stuff and astounding to watch.

And this is political HOW?

School boards are elected political bodies

This is not about a political decision of a school board.. or any particular politics of anyone involved....

You know why you wanted to put this in politics, and so do others....

But this should have been in general because it is basically just a current event of a crime... not a political issue

The school board members were total cowards.

When the woman hit him with her purse and he turned his back toward them.

They should have rushed the gunman.

It was an attempted political assasination

They were discussing taxes. That makes it political.

Just one more reason that law abiding citizens should be packing heat.

If all 5 or 6 of those committee members drew down on him he probably would have pissed himself.
