LET THEM. He wants to tax millionaires to pay for "free" childcare, buses and housing? GOOD. Let them figure what revenue is left after millionaires leave the city in droves. They want socialism? LET THEM HAVE IT. No one deserves it more than NYC.
I mean here is the mentality of his supporters: $250K student debt at 32 years old, and he's ready to "give it a shot". Great work, Dillon, you deserve all the socialism that's about to get shoved down your throat.
For Dillon Robertson, 32, money is a constant worry. He commutes to college in Connecticut and will graduate with close to $250,000 in student loans. He's supporting Mamdani and says many of his cost-saving proposals could make his life easier, but at the same time, he worries if it's all possible.
"A lot of the stuff he says sounds nice. But I both wonder, can he do it? Can he pull it off?" he said. "Or [is] it just kind of like a Band-Aid on a leaky ship?"
Still, he admits, if the options are to keep plodding along or try something new, he's ready to give it a shot.
I live in South Florida, THE #1 destination for refugees the world over. I don't mean the poor, displaced, hungry kind although we have our share of those. I mean the ones coming from other areas of the Country where they just can't make a go of it.
From the Rust Belt where Union scumbags gobbled up everything they could without caring the least little bit for the next generation. Which is what forced Industry to move overseas. The once incredible "Arsenal Of Democracy" that FDR was so proud of, was destroyed by greedy Unions and dimocrap scum. That was/is our 2nd biggest influx.
The biggest is from the Northeastern Corrider -- Bawstawn area, where nobody can afford to live. You make a quarter Mill a year and live like shit, crime is out of control, taxes are horrendous, the weather is shit, and it's the same story..... Unions and dimocrap scum ruin everything. The lower class is seriously the lower class. It's like they're living in a 3rd world country. Been there, lived there, sold the T-Shirt. Philthydelphia area...... Just a shithole. An open sewer.
But the biggest is the New Yawk Area. The curious thing about them is -- They're assholes. I worked with the Public down here for 40 years and, I'm telling you -- New Yawkers are assholes. It's so bad that if they come in and have a New Yawk accent, many people just won't do business with them. They're not worth it. You can count on a Pig Fight with them every time; at some point.
I got to where I'd just price them out. I wouldn't refuse to do business with them, but I'd price it so high they'd go somewhere else. I could tell you story after story. Dozens, hundreds of them. Until I finally learned -- They're just not worth the trouble.
Not all New Yawkers were a problem, but all my problems were New Yawkers. There were some seriously nice ones but overall, they just weren't worth taking a chance on..... Aggressive, mouthy, under-educated, ignorant (they don't know SHIT about the world outside of New Yawk, believe it) plus they're belligerent. I've had several tell me how they don't like MidWesterners and Southerners. New Yawkers always like to do "The Dozens" when they get into a confrontation. Almost like they're in the 'hood or sumpthin. You start running your mouth to a MidWesterner or especially to a Southerner and he's gonna punch your lights out. New Yawkers don't get that.
Point being, yeah -- You're right. They're not worth the trouble. People who don't know any better judge them by what they see on SitComs, Soaps, etc. That is NOT how they are. They lie, they cheat, they steal, you can't trust them or believe anything they say and they have no honor. At all. Not all, but 90%
The problem now is -- I see at least a million 'people' moving out of New Yawk (area) with my town, may area, getting at least a hundred thousand of them. And, frankly, I'm sick of them. I don't like them and I don't want them around me.
To me, that is the biggest downside of The Communist winning New Yawk. What happens to those shitheads? I could not care less.
And you know what? Seriously? People who actually know who and what New Yawkers are....... They feel the same way. To know them is to loathe them
