I understand that parents are protective, but honestly he has all the same rights to post things online as anyone else. They're not harmful in anyway and he isn't saying anything inappropriate about students or that he's trying to indoctrinate him. I just can't fault him for what he's doing in his own time away from school.

If it turns out he's in contact with them after hours and is trying to groom them inside and out of class, then I agree. He would need to be terminated. But as of right now I have no information detailing such events. No one is being endangered or exposed to anything against their will so I have to side with the teacher on this.

His "kids" adored him and took advantage of Facebook to stay connected to him right up to his final illness. They LOVED the man. He gave up teaching when the stupid leftist teachers union started killing his ability to teach as a real adult.

The school system lost all the people like him and just think of those who stayed behind or joined that system! Instead of actually teaching things, the new system is only concerned with meeting state and federal data requirements.

An interesting experiment no one has probably tried would be to take maybe ten classrooms and subject them to learning a given topic for a semester under the way that, say, a guy like your ex might teach, then have them repeat the semester under the new way.

Or do two parallel studies if you can figure out a way of combining the data.

Then see: which class does better, learns more, and/or which system do the classes themselves vote for preferring better.

Funny that while the schools feel comfortable letting children pick which gender they feel like, they DON'T feel comfortable in letting the kids vote for and pick which educational system THEY prefer and think works better for them--- the old school or their new, wacky socialistic methods.
