Let's leave aside the public statistics from BLS that every president before Trump (and Trump in his first term) were fine with.

What I remember about 2022 was that the company I worked for at the time was so hard up for employees that they were offering signing bonuses to people who recommended others.

Today, that same company is laying off people who have worked there for 20 years.
