I don't think he'll get radical stuff like wide spread rent control or a government run grocery stores.
I do think he'll slip through a lot of small stuff, creeping socialism.
Not sure how he'll deal with crime/LE issues. He's for sure going to be tested by his supporters. When crime goes up, TRUMP needs to let it play out and force Mamdani to handle it.

New York is my adoptive home. I worked in Manhattan for 30 years to support my family. It was beautiful, vibrant, full of wonders. There are so many restaurants in NYC, you could eat in a different one every night for 45 years and never eat in the same place twice.
It will NOT BE AMAZING to watch it go back to the 1970 fiasco it once was.
