If we hadn't spent the last few decades misapplying capitalism -- the greatest engine of growth and prosperity the world has -- this wouldn't be an issue.

I see your point. There are some downfalls to capitalism. Especially crony capitalism, that benefits from government picking winners and losers. And corporate greed. Like the big 3 protein producers cutting back on beef production to only increase their profits.
Or when the oil companies reduce oil production to do the same thing.

Things like that is what the government should focus on and make rules against. Not allowing them to practice this sort of gouging.

But socialism, in any form, is much much worse. It's literally putting the government in charge of all aspects of production, marketing and prices. When the government can't even balance a budget or keep SS efficient.

The only thing I can think of to add to the CECOT model is Caning. We should give El Salvador a piece of secluded, unneeded desert land, call it an embassy. Built a giant prison on it. Bring in some expert caners and then let the Salvadorian corrections people run it.

I'm looking forward to them expanding this facility to accommodate more criminals. I'd also make it a no-frills prison with no heat or air conditioning and sustenance level food. And the left's BS about taxing the rich more...... The rich individuals already pay huge amounts. Corporations, they don't really pay a lot. But they do provide jobs that create most of the tax revenue the government gets. A huge amount. And keeps the economy going.
But our RINO's and democrats can't even manage all they bring in. So taxing the rich more is only going to give the government more to squander. Taxing corporations more will only increase prices.

The left makes a pretty valid point. That if they're going to be paying so much in taxes, then we the people should be getting a lot more for what we all pay in. And countries like Ukraine, Israel and others with their hands out, shouldn't be getting much of anything. At least not now.

So Trump comes up with a solution: Elon and Doge. Find the fraud and abuse in everything the government writes a check for. AWESOME. GREAT. This way the government will either save a ton of money. Or allows those who really need the checks to possibly get more. Then when Elon starts looking at the BBB and how much the RINO's are spending, suddenly he's out.
