There is no swamp. There is no Deep State. Is there a bloated bureaucracy? Sure. But that can be fixed, departments can be combined and redundancy can be eliminated. But in some cases it is bad to combine and condense. I don't think anyone would say that we are better with a Homeland Security than we were before. We just didn't have the inter-agency cooperation that was needed - also fixable. But we lost something by not having agencies independent of each other, bringing different perspectives. Not just the perspective of an adulteress ex-governor of a nothing state, who has half a brain and shoots small dogs.'Draining the Swamp' was always a deflection to keep the spotlight from the greasiest of the greasiest. I.E. himself and his cronies.
