To answer your question directly I believe all Americans should have access to health care regardless of their income. That is one area, like clean air, or clean water, that shouldnt depend on your income. We dont have different air or water quality standards based on how much you can pay for water. Why? Because its for the common good. Water is heavily subsidized by your taxes and regulated the shit out of it so that it keeps costs down and quality up. Seems like a good idea for healthcare.

You don't have to get insurance from a for profit provider. There are numerous ones that are non-profit. Nonprofit Health Insurance Companies

What we don't want is Govt taking away healthcare because we miss a Court date, socialized medicine at it's worse. The Govt clearly just didn't think she was worth it....sad
