For the record, I have been married since 1973, and my marriage is fine, thank you very much.

Leftism is antagonistic toward marriage in a number of ways. It supports "families" that arise out of bastardy, thus taking the place of the absent fathers - ineffectively. It abolishes the social stigmae associated with both divorce and illegitimacy, and makes divorce much more convenient It seeks to substitute indoctrination by the State for nurturing by the PARENTS, promoting Leftist memes and values in the process. It teaches and promotes social values that are antagonistic to traditional marriage - implies that women with children SHOULD work outside the home, and denigrates the traditional role of the father as head of household.

And all this takes place in a culture where the data indicate emphatically that the most successful, well-adjusted, happiest children are the children of traditional marriages, where the husband/father is the breadwinner and the wife remains at home to nurture the children. This truth extends to all subcultures, from Asians to "whites" to Blacks and other POC's. (None of this is to say that single parents cannot do an excellent job under the circumstances, or that there is anything "wrong" with working mothers. But STATISTICALLY SPEAKING, the greatest likelihood of successful families comes with the traditional nuclear family).

As many have said in the past, if some nefarious foreign enemy had hatched a plan in 1960 to destroy American society, it could not have achieved any greater success than we have done on our own.
