Lost Items May Have Slipped Into Another Dimension

It happened to my husband and me, once in our lifetime....the object was on a glass coffee table, the last time we saw it....then gone! I brought the hubby in the room to see if he had moved it....he said no....he last saw it on the glass coffee table...we needed it before we left on our trip... We searched everywhere we could have put it, in every room in the house...at least ten times...the whole house including the coffee table has been gone over with a fine tooth comb, looking for it....

We were going on vacation to a cabin in the Maine woods.. The directions and key to open it, was in an envelope on the coffee table...we couldn't leave without it.

2 hours later the hubby and I go back in to the living room for the 100th time, and there sitting on the coffee table in clear view, was the envelope we were looking for...

I accused him of hiding it and putting it back, he accused me of hiding it and putting it back!!! Both of us were searching together as a team room by room and no way did either of us want to delay leaving for vacation...we knew neither of us had, after our accusations...then, we looked at each other and started humming the theme song to the Twilight Zone! And have brought up what happened over again the next 30 years...
just as eerie as my case. 😳

what is CRS?
.

Colloquial and crude. CRS Syndrome -- Can't Remember Shit.

Old folks get it a lot. It's when you get up and go into another room to do something, and as soon as you get there, find that you've forgotten what your mission was, only to have it pop back into your head when you go back and sit back down.

a well known situation!
there is also a scientific explanation for it. 👍

to me it happens specially if I go downstairs to the cellar.

it was in a hotel in Austria.
Maybe in a specially magic Austrian building?
I am at a loss to explain it.

Maybe haunting would explain it. I used to live in a building that had a reputation as being haunted. I left for a five week trip overseas, and when I returned, there was a kettle on the stove, on a burner on low heat! And I'm one of those people who does triple and quadruple checks of stuff like that when I'm leaving home for more than a day or two -- many appliances unplugged where practical. No explanation.

My dog also had this weird habit of barking at something that I couldn't see.

But my glasses in the freezer happened in a different building.

I started taking Ginko Biloba a while back and sometimes that happens but it's more like a momentary delay now when it happens. I don't need to retrace my steps to remember.

similar thing happened to me in a hotel once,
when i woke up in the morning, i could not find my glasses

i searched the whole room, they were nowhere.

then I asked a room.maid for help.

she went straight to my bed, lifted the mattress ....

and there were my glasses .... under the mattress!

i am a 100% sure i never put them there!
sometimes i wonder why the maid went straight to the bed and lifted the mattress, just as if she was sure to find the glasses there. Has this happened in that hotel often?

Did the hotel have a resident poltergeist? 💁😎😳
