it took place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY. It raged for days. One person
stabbed to death by a young rioter and the commercial area completely ransacked. ---
The day camp closed (it was August and I left for work every day)----then one magic
day a few thousand mounted police galloped in (the state mounties) ----that's it-----
they just SHOWED UP and it was all over. A few days later it rained---that helped too.
