Nothing Democrats can do about it. McConnell will get his 6-3 Supreme Court and even Roberts will not be able to contain the Conservative Court.

Democrats have learned that elections have consequences and what matters most is getting your way, not doing what is right.

So what can Democrats do if they win the White House and Senate in November?

There is much talk about packing the court and expanding seats. But I think that is excessive. What they should do is end the filibuster in the Senate.

Democrats should immediately:

1. Repeal the Trump Tax Cuts
2. Pass effective Gun Control
3. Expand Obamacare and make it impossible to repeal
4. Pass Immigration Reform
5 Pass extensive Environmental Protections
6. Raise the Minimum Wage

And they'll all get shot in the ass when they go before the SCOTUS.

I don't think dc can legally become a state, can it? Something I heard about tge seat of government cannot be under the jurisdiction of the United States. I don't know the exact statute.

DC is unique.

Not allowing US Citizens to be represented is Un American. They may need to set up a special district that can elect representatives.

Whoever controls Congress can decide

And SCOTUS can undecide it for you.

They will have to decide on the rights of citizens to be represented.

The Constitution says no to DC statehood

So, according to these articles, and article 1 section 8, as these articles explain, the seat of government has to be separate from any state.

Now, A1S8 does state that this land area must not exceed 10 miles square, which means that it can be smaller than that, however, A1S8 says that the land to create this seat of government was to be ceded from the states around it, which means Virginia and Maryland had to give up land to create DC. Wouldn't this mean that if DC gave up land, it would have to go back to the states that ceded it?

Given the amount of taxes that DC residents pay to the Federal Government (more than 22 states) they should either get the right to vote or be exempted from paying taxes

Poor Democrat’s can’t do anything about it. Mitch won, they lost.

Now, all they can do about it is win next month and end the Senate filibuster for good. Then spend the next two years passing EVERY piece of legislation they have ever hoped for.
