Who wouldn't be angry that their promise of a good life and a comfortable retirement now be yanked back by the evil Republicans. (I say this tongue in cheek of course) The public sector has enjoyed a lifestyle nearly that of a politician, with Viagra even covered in thier health plan. Wisconsin is the first battleground where the policies of greed come face to face with a state going bankrupt. Will taxpayers be willing to bear higher taxers just so the clerk down at the DMV gets better health care?
Oh yeah......those teachers are really rolling in the dough with a $25,000 starting salary.
.
How does that compare to the starting salary of any recent college grad in Wisconsin?
And dont forget.....college grads NOT in teaching dont only work 180 days a year for their salary...they work more in line with 245 days a year....a difference of 65 days...or OVER 1/3 more a year.....and whereas teachers work form 8-4.....non teachers work 8:30 to 5:30
So that being said...what is wrong with them getting a package a little more in line with what the state can afford?
