I don't recall any of us Property Tax payers who pay a ton of taxes supporting these schools if we approved of the kids being dismissed for political demonstrations. What a bunch of shit, get your asses back to class!! And what if one of those kids gets hit by a car while they are "Using their voices to protest"? The school district should be sued.

That is really going to help America win the A.I race.

Bloody political teachers. It is one reason I would enjoy teaching, I would do my best to relate to kids and get them motivated in learning the tough subjects. My best teachers did the same for me, you need to inspire, not get them involved in your personal political grievances;

Getting kids interested in politics is not such a bad idea.

The school district is covered by the fact that the students are violating a school rule by leaving the campus. They are not responsible. We had a walkout from a high school where I was working in 2018 over an anti-gun movement. The students walked out because they could, knowing there would be no penalties. They didn't give a rat's ass about the protest. Half my students stayed in class. Teachers combined classes to help supervise the kids staying on the campus to protest. I got to babysit.

Where does it say teachers were involved?

Choosing their politics for them is awful and pressures them to get in line.

I was fortunate, I had a law teacher who provided us the legal cases without judgement. Cases I still remember to this day. He would questions, might even insinuate (such as when a man got off a murder rap because he claimed he was sleep walking), but, he let us decide and argue.

Great teacher and still took the bus like the rest of us hah.

It's not choosing their politics for them. It's saying "hey, this thing is going on, you choose".

But yes, proper education would teach kids to think for themselves, have kids debating the issues etc.

I didn't have such teachers, my teacher was the internet.

An interest in politics is one thing, what's happening is indoctrination.
Well, I won't disagree. However merely saying "take the day off school, go if you want" is not indoctrination.

But if anyone is interested in not having indoctrination they need to think about getting Proportional Representation. With only two parties, it is always indoctrination. Support this or that or screw you.

You know this is wrong. What if some kid said "I dont want to protest as I support ICE". The teacher would use it against him and the kid would be ostracized.

It is akin to those who didnt get vaxxed. That is what happens when you produce weak, docile citizens who cant think but happily follow and humiliate someone who chose a different path. In Canada we had media posting headlines "we cannot treat people who are not vaxxed". A doctor on TV stating the same, to the effect, "those who dont get vaxxed might also need to pay higher car insurance as they probably have anti-social, high risk behavior tendencies".

These creeps would be the first to collaborate with the enemy if invaded and instructed to.

Is there a news story, or town, or actual event you are writing about or are you just getting warmed up, in case they do. Forget a link?

Perhaps, but this thread is about giving kids the day off to protest if they want.

US education is pretty messed up.

In the UK you're not allowed to be political, it's part of your contract. Obviously it's not that easy to enforce, but really it doesn't happen much.

In the US because the electoral system is so messed up, with only two parties, nothing sensible happens.

The stupidity of that statement is staggering. Guess where they should be getting interested in politics?? How about in the class room??
**** you. If you ever ******* knew what you were talking about, that would be great, but you come on here spouting uninformed SHIT all the time.

**** off.

Another emotional outburst, what a surprise. I said your STATEMENT was stupid because it is. That has nothing to do with getting kids "interested in politics". It's giving them the day off from school to indoctrinate them into the Leftist belief that ICE is Gestapo.

You said it was stupid because you didn't ******* think about it.

You have your way of thinking and that's it.

You don't want to understand, just back Trump no matter how ******* dumb what you say or what he says is

I saw little kids in packs, sort of a big loose herd. Girls running into Safeway to use restroom? Rally stalls. Of course a big Mexican flag waving. No American.

Signs poorly scribbled written "no human is illegal" Kids roaming around parking lots. 4 Police cars "escorting?", some Police on MTN bikes.//
