Obamacare was a disaster from the very start - based on lies, based on promises of return they knew would never happened, based on the intent to use the ACA as a stepping stone to single payer (as Reid said, the Liberals KNEW the ACA would fail)...
The ACA is collapsing - if nothing is done it will collapse under it's own failed weight, leaving nothing to fall back on.
Liberals have openly declared they will not help the GOP save (fix) the ACA...and they won't help them replace it. In short, the Liberals are trying to completely scrape the stench and memory of the ACA off their hands and start blame-shifting to the GOP.
If nothing is done and the ACA dies on its own on the GOP's watch they will falsely declare it is the GOP's fault.
If the GOP tries to make some cuts / changes and make it better and it goes a little rough the Libs will blame the GOP.
If the GOP repeals the ACA and attempts to replace it (with anything other than single payer) - Libs will not help and if anything goes wrong the libs will vilify the GOP.
This is the Lib's chance to try to hand their disaster off onto the GOP.

I hate to tell you, oh dried up lying one, but the ACA was broken from the start, has been broken for a long time, and, in fact, is on it's deathbed!
