"Mr. Kahn, who has never met me, has no right to stand in front of millions of people and claim I have not read the constitution..." Donald TrumpSimply put. Yes. It's a pretty serious attempt to undercut what he said by using religious/racial stereotyping. It's also demonstrably untrue and if you spend longer than 30 seconds on Google you can find her response to Trump's allegation.Quotes posted earlier. You've chosen to ignore it.Yes, the fact the nominee of one of the major political parties felt the need to respond directly to a grieving parent of a dead war veteran when said speech wasn't even aired on network tv is pretty beyond the pale. It tells me that Trump is an idiot who is easily baited. It tells me as President he'd be an absolutely terrible Chief Diplomat and Commander in Chief.
There is absolutely no scenario where any person with a shred of dignity or sanity goes after a grieving parent directly. And Trump did.
Keep in mind this is only an issue because Trump made it an issue. If Trump had shut the hell up and moved on literally no one would be talking about this outside political forums like this. He's no genius. He's not even of average ability in dealing with people or thinking things through. Stupid mistakes like this one show that.
That you repeatedly can't come up with an actual quote shows you're full of shit and just can't pull the stick out of your ass. You're offended because you want to be
You've also chosen to ignore the bigger issue that Paul Ryan, John McCain, the VFW, and plenty of other folks across the political spectrum have mentioned: "YOU DON'T GO AFTER THE GRIEVING PARENTS OF A DEAD VETERAN."
Trump is the reason we are taking about this today instead of bad financial news that should have hurt Hillary. Trump. He owns this.
You gave a bloviated pontification of the story. I asked you just for quotes that Trump said that offended you. Are you saying the Trump quotes in that exchange offended you?
Here is the only Trump quote I could find from you. "If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably — maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say. You tell me."
That offended you? Seriously? Even after it apparently turns out he was right?
Again, it's a stupid pointless attempt to profile the Khan's FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. No one watched their speech at the convention outside the hall. Outside a few places on Twitter no one was talking about it. Trump is the one who started this. It was an absolutely stupid move.
Let's get this clear. Hillary is a loser. She's probably the worst candidate since Kerry. She's arguably worse than Kerry. She's a pretty clear loser candidate who in any other campaign would be doomed to lose and lose spectacularly. Why is she winning in every prediction model out there? Why is she ahead in nearly all the polling averages? Why is she ahead in the betting markets?
It's because Trump is TOO STUPID to not step into situations a person with even an ounce of dignity or intelligence would step into. He crossed a line going after a grieving family of a dead war vet. If this were literally anyone else, Republican or Democrat, we'd be prouncing the time of death of their campaign right now.
You want to pretend it's not an issue, but clearly a lot of folks all over do not agree with you on this. YOU DO NOT GO AFTER GRIEVING PARENTS. You don't. You just don't. If Trump is lucky he shuts up and this blows over in a few weeks like his McCain comments (which should have ended his run), his comments on the disabled reporter (which should have ended his career), or his comments on the federal judge (which is such an amazing blunder legally for a private citizen to make).
So the best ... and only ... example you have of Trump "going after grieving parents" is to ask if his wife was allowed to speak. And apparently he was right, she wasn't. Maybe he did his homework first? OMG, hang the bastard. You just want to be offended. The Democrat party wants to be offended, the liberal media wants to be offended.
Khan: Trump hates Muslims, he's never read the Constitution, Trump has sacrificed nothing for his country!
Trump: Hey, is your wife quiet because she's not allowed to speak?
You: OMG, he went after a grieving family! They were grieving in the privacy of the Democrat convention attacking Trump for their son who died 12 years ago. He just wants to be left alone!
You're a ridiculous little man in a ridiculous little party. The party who also said Trump in mocking Hillary was seriously asking the Russians to hack the server that was shut down over a year ago ...
If Trump had read the Constitution and grasped it's meaning he would know that the 1rst Amendment gave Mr. Kahn the right to suggest Trump had never read the Constitution. Ya, Kahn had a right to make the comment and his son paid with his life protecting that right.
