I'm sure many of us have met liberals who actually wish the British had won. I've met a few. Why do they wish that? Because England became a socialist country in the late 1940s, because England established a universal health care system in 1948, and because England would have ended slavery in America without a civil war.

The ending slavery without a Civil War? That is just dumb thinking right there.....the Brits ended the slave trade, because they didn't have any actual slaves in Britain.....that was easy........but the people who would eventually become the democrat party, the Southern Slave owners, would not have given up their slaves cause the Brits said so anymore than they did when the movement to end slavery started here.......
