Liberals / Leftists / Democrats: What are you going to do about Trump?

You apparently do -not- get it, if you believe voting will stop Trump's insulting, mocking, attacking, intimidating, threatening, name-calling and trolling his political opposition.
Because it will do nothing.
.

Gee. I heard someone say something similar..............

"Nothing can stop what is coming".

.

Not sure what else they would expect.

Weird. Maybe you're supposed to do what THEY do.

I am going to stop and get barbeque today, because I am a key member of Meal Team Six!

So... what?
What's your plan?
Sit around and hope he dies?

Raptured Home by God? Spontaneous Combustion?

Probably too much to hope for I guess. I'll settle for taking the House and/or Senate to mitigate the damage. Then take the WH in 2028 and start repairing the damage. What other choice is there? Remember violence is the last resort of the incompetent. (paraphrased IA of course)

We are told:

Right now, this country is led by a man who insults, mocks, attacks, intimidates, threatens, name-calls and trolls his political opposition every single goddamn day. And his fans/enablers cheer & enable him more, every single time he does it.

No one else behaves like that. There is no other person who is contributing to the increase in anger in this country than its own President. MAGA can deny this all it wants. And it is lying. It is not mistaken or delusional. It is LYING....there is one (1) person who is MOST to blame. Of all people, OF ALL PEOPLE, it's our very own President, the man who is supposed to be serving ALL Americans. He is failing America in real time.

Do you agree?

If so...
What are you going to do about it, other than whine and cry on a message board?
  • You can't vote hm out.
  • Democrats won't win enough Senate seats to remove him from office
So... what?
What's your plan?
Sit around and hope he dies?

He'll die of natural causes soon.

How is it you do not understand taking either/both houses will do nothing to quell Trumps rhetoric, which, we are told in the OP, is the main portion of the problem?
Then take the WH in 2028 and start repairing the damage.
What makes you think this will quiet Trump down?

No, you;re just going to whine and cry about it on the internet.

Remember violence is the last resort of the incompetent
Thus, the Democrat's penchant for, and reliance upon, it.

If he loses the House and Senate, he's the ultimate lame duck, and doesn't matter. Everything he does will be contested.

We are going to LOVE Trump and vote for him in 2028! :)

How is it you do not understand that Trump's rhetoric - he insults, mocks, attacks, intimidates, threatens, name-calls and trolls his political opposition every goddamn day... he contributes to the increase in anger in this country like nothing else - is something a Dem control House / Senate cannot abate, and therefore does nothing to address the problem?

Because I don't care at that point.

The opinion of piece you cite was that he should turn it down. I agree. It's not just that Republicans or Democrats are being killed (because they used their 1st Amendment rights), but because they are Americans that are being killed. Maybe you believe the loudest bully pulpit in the world has little or no impact on his followers? But I do. Frankly I don't believe he will tone down his vitriol. But a sound defeat for his party in 2026 might lessen the volume on his fans devices.

The opinion piece -- a post from another board member who refuses to defend his position -- blames Trump's rhetoric for the violence.

How is it you do not understand taking either/both houses will do nothing to quell Trumps rhetoric?
And thus, without quelling Trump's rhetoric, the violence will not stop, if not get worse?

Which leads to my question: What are you going to do about it?

"Massie says Trump among those who should tone down rhetoric"

Was the title of the piece. You obviously think he was singling out poor old Trumpybear. Do you have any quotes where Massie (who didn't write the opinion piece) specifically blames Donnie and Donnie only for the rise in political violence?
