Liberal outrage as Empire State Building sparkles red to celebrate Donald Trump's victory in North Carolina

6 Nov 2024 ~~ By Brittany Chain

The Empire State Building sparkled red for Donald Trump late on Tuesday night as he secured victory in crucial swing states North Carolina and Georgia.
From 11.22pm to 11.27pm, the top of the iconic New York City building twinkled red for the first time of the evening, commemorating Trump's win.
'We will be sparkling red for the next 5 minutes,' the official X account for the tourist hotspot read.
The decision sparked outrage among devastated blue voters in New York, who were already mourning Harris's poor showing in NYC.

The Vice President won just 67.8 per cent of the vote in all five boroughs - the worst result for a Democrat in the Big Apple since 1988.
'Celebrating the potential end of democracy is pretty wild for New York,' one critic said.
But the official X account clarified that a decision was made ahead of time to light up either blue or red for the winner of each swing state.
'As a reminder we will be sparkling for all battleground state calls from the Associated Press,' a spokesperson said.
Along with North Carolina, the other six battleground states are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
These seven states have a combined 93 electoral college votes - making them crucial for both campaigns.
Within minutes of the Empire State lighting up, critics began slamming the decision online.

I couldn’t be more happy or more proud of my country. All us normal folks showed up and showed out!
It just shows that fear mongering and celeb backing means NOTHING! USA! USA!!
Keep it sparkling "RED" - and GET SOME CAMERAS OUT THERE, to record the NY City leftist outrage.
Get it on film It will be classic.
We’re going to be hearing this a lot: liberal outrage and violence in the next few weeks.
Yes. Harris got 67% of the vote in NY, but the rest of the States voted for Trump.

He probably won there too, but when you have Governors, Mayors, and Squirrel Murderers of their ilk you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the vote was rigged. Who has the power to stop them? Anyway ... a victory is a victory and New York will have to live with it.

Dems are bitter and butthurt.

The problem with New York State lies on both the Eastern and Western ends of the State. Yep! I refer to NYC and Buffalo. Neither City has gone red ever. Even when Reagan took NY State in 1984.

It was red all night. It should be red right now in fact. Arizona was just called.
