Liberal Intellectual Elite ("LIE")

Keep prattling on. Ever read The Federalist Papers? Quotes from the men that put it all together?

Of course not. Otherwise you wouln't have made such an ignorant, shallow comment.

Yes. I've read the federalist papers.

Simply reading the federalist papers, again, doesn't give you a special dispensation to comment on what guys who lived over 200 years ago would have wanted to do in modern time.

Or:

If the Constitution was so patently obvious, why do we need a high court to interpret it?

Not to you while you try to character assassinate and lie your way out of trouble.

Oh, there is the "L" word again.

What have I "lied" about?

Happily LIE in this thread doesn't really mean LIE it actually means another sort of LIE, ask CrusaderFrank he has the diagrams, memos, charts and miscellaneous correspondence that explains it all.

Yeah, I read the OP. That's not the "LIE" he was talking about.

I see...So...Society changes...so must principle? This is what gets you Statists into trouble...and consequently why so many politicians are fearing for their jobs right now.

So in summation...Society goes down hill, and therefore the very foundation of what made this nation what it is must also.

What you subscribe to has brought down many a nation. Some of you fail to learn from history. You are comfortable with repeating it.

Face it. You loathe American Exceptionalism. C'mon it's OK you've already admitted it.

Conservative and republican anti intellectual, anti education is why their party today has such poor candidates. Can one really imagine Sarah Palin president? That thought should boggle the minds of the sane.

"I was raised to be ashamed of my ignorance, and to try to do something about it if at all possible. I carry that burden to this day, and have successfully passed it on to my children. I don’t believe I have the right to an opinion about something I know nothing about—constitutional law, for example, or sailing—a notion that puts me sadly out of step with a growing majority of my countrymen, many of whom may be unable to tell you anything at all about Islam, say, or socialism, or climate change, except that they hate it, are against it, don’t believe in it. Worse still (or more amusing, depending on the day) are those who can tell you, and then offer up a stew of New Age blather, right-wing rant, and bloggers’ speculation that’s so divorced from actual, demonstrable fact, that’s so not true, as the kids would say, that the mind goes numb with wonder. “Way I see it is,” a man in the Tulsa Motel 6 swimming pool told me last summer, “if English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it’s good enough for us.”

Quite possibly, this belief in our own opinion, regardless of the facts, may be what separates us from the nations of the world, what makes us unique in God’s eyes. The average German or Czech, though possibly no less ignorant than his American counterpart, will probably consider the possibility that someone who has spent his life studying something may have an opinion worth considering. Not the American. Although perfectly willing to recognize expertise in basketball, for example, or refrigerator repair, when it comes to the realm of ideas, all folks (and their opinions) are suddenly equal. Thus evolution is a damned lie, global warming a liberal hoax, and Republicans care about people like you." 'Notebook, A Quibble,' By Mark Slouka

That is what happens to idiots who refuse to educate themselves try to make sense of republican talking points
I'm curious -- what's your educational background?

what's YOURS?
AAS in Laser/Electro-Optics.

Real science with practical applications. Nothing squishy. How about you?

Oh, and surprise me: Don't dismiss my education out of hand because it's "only" an AAS.

But I'm betting you won't surprise me.

You're a bit off the mark Master T, in that you assume that the disintegration of the foundation moves in tandem with disintegration of society, when in fact progressives pride themselves on figuring out how to disintegrate the foundation of society much faster than disintegration of society itself.

After all progressives are a special breed that can fool themselves all of the time regarding cause and effect ... i.e. "if what we caused didn't have the desired effect it's the effects fault for not picking the right cause" ....

Here's an idea:

Instead of resorting to idiotic ad hominem against the investigators, why not address the actual findings of the report?

You mean like you have in the rebuttal?

That would require you guys to first provide an actual rebuttal.

Like I said, simply going ad hominem against the investigators simply tosses you in the conspiracy zone.

It's weak, but I didn't expect much better from you guys.

Such tactics might have worked for O.J. with Mark Furman. They won't work with most people.
Just to be clear: You accept the findings of the report because it's what you want to believe.

Right?

Agreed. Got it reveresed a tad. The effect is the same. Thanks. :)

I've never denied that I loath American exceptionalism. Exceptionalism for any nation creates a huge problem. If you believe your country can do no wrong, you are an idiot that will be manipulated by a despot eventually.

Speaking of history and the will of the founding fathers and in recollection of you views over the past several years; what did Washington say about foreign entanglements?

This whole "What Would The Founding Fathers Do" argument basically becomes a movable goalpost to denounce political rivals.

It's idiotic and lame. A better question is "What Are We Going To Do"?

Lets just remember who hates higher education, science and History?
Let's just remember who peddles hobgoblin strawmen, with bigoted sweeping generalizations.
Absolutely!!!!!!

6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; 8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: 9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. - Deuteronomy 13:6-10

Right?

Uh no.

I accept it, like I accept global warming, because it is the consensus of experts in the field.

provide me a link to any public school curriculum in America that teaches that. For that matter, provide me with a link to any American school that teaches that.
Ever hear of Ward Churchill?

Ah, the right's singular and favorite boogey man.
Singular? You wish.

And let's not forget Noam Chomsky.
What happened to Churchhill, BTW?
He won his wrongful termination suit, probably because the university's defense was incompetent.

What were his damages?

And what happens when experts who agree with and support each other investigate each other?
