Go educate yourself on just what makes an assault rifle and what does not and what is available for sale and what it takes to convert a weapon to fully automatic. Yes, the ignorance (at best) and outright lies (at worst) still surprise me. Especially since every LEO I know personally is staunchly pro-gun.
