Do you understand the difference between conversation vs. debate?

Never heard of Charlie Kirk before he got shot. So I watched this debate at Cambridge.

Not impressed. How about you?

Charlie Kirk wanted to 'have a conversation,' and he got shot dead for it. Is it a conversation you want, or something else? Say, maybe, total capitulation to your own views of the world?

I want a new Constitution. I guess you haven't noticed, but we do not have the rules for the debate that we are all anticipating. If we had such a rule system, wouldn't that be what we should want to have incorporated into our governing system?

The formulation of the three-branch government with a bicameral legislature obviously does not do it for us, does it? The government, the political parties, nor any private organization has figured out how to do it!

It would be quite an accomplishment, not to ignore, quite fortunate, if someone, or a group of people, figured out how to secure the reliable rules for such a conversation.
