Chinese imports have had tariffs on them for about 8 years now (Biden didn’t get rid of them). The price is artificially raised by these tariffs. There is your inflation.

The gouging is that the American made alternatives are still higher priced (in most cases) than the artificially inflated priced goods from China.

There is so much more to it than that. First, the president is not a dictator so she couldn't do price controls in the first place. Second, I guess she could decide that prices are a national emergency and start issuing decrees like they did with Covid. Anytime they want to impose their socialist policies, all they have to do is declare a national emergency for any reason, bringing on socialism. Third, if she could do price controls, why not do it DEI style, selling loaves of bread to the so-called disadvantaged, minorities, or gender changers for a cheaper price than to the rich? Fourth, the left are purposely trying to put small businesses out of business so that only the Walmarts, Amazons, and McDonalds are left and then they will impose government controls of all kinds on those remaining mega businesses.

A small number of large businesses are easier for Marxists to control than a large number of small businesses. This is why Democrats do everything they can to destroy small businesses.
