IMHO, the answer is NO, Ms. Shine is not a "racist."

She just said some things that many people agree with but would not dare say at school or work.

There is a gentleman's agreement that -- for the sake of national harmony -- we should all ignore the elephant in the room.

I wasn't aware she was being considered for a job. Though I don't think her comments make her a racist, what difference would it make if she is? Her husband isn't in a policy making position.
