SUMTERVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Native American activist Leonard Peltier was released from a Florida prison on Tuesday, weeks after then-President Joe Biden angered law enforcement officials by commuting his life sentence to home confinement in the 1975 killings of two FBI agents.

Peltier, 80, left Coleman penitentiary in an SUV, according to a prison official. He didn’t stop to speak with reporters or the roughly two dozen supporters who gathered outside the gates to celebrate his release.

Peltier, a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota, was headed back to his reservation, where family and friends will celebrate his release with him on Wednesday and where the tribe arranged a house for him to live in while serving his home confinement.

AP got it wrong again. Murdering two FBI agents makes him a terrorist, not an activist.

Peltier is laughing at the D's. Whacked a couple of G Men and got away with it.

Soon he will be back on the reservation drinking whiskey in his teepee thinking what a dumb ass Sleepy Joe is.

So when British Colonials murdered Loyalist Subjects and British Soldiers in the 1770s, they were not patriots but they were terrorists?

Leonard should be a Proud Boy or Oathkeeper

He has so much in common with Jan 6 Rioters and Maggots.

Leonard Peltier was a victim of deep state politics. Informed folks know that his trial was as garbage as any of those lodged against Trump.

The evidence at the trial was rigged by the deep state.

This is about the power of the deep state being challenged. For normal folks, that should be a lesson.

". . . His trial was riddled with misconduct that would never hold up in a U.S. court today. Prosecutors hid key evidence. The FBI threatened and coerced witnesses into lying. A juror admitted she was biased against Peltier’s race on the second day of the trial, but was allowed to stay on anyway.

There was never proof that he murdered two FBI agents during that 1975 shoot-out on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. But the FBI needed someone to take the fall. The agency had just lost two agents, and Peltier’s co-defendants were acquitted based on self-defense. This was happening as the FBI was fueling tensions on the reservation as part of a covert campaign to suppress the activities of the American Indian Movement, or AIM, a grassroots group of activists focused on drawing attention to federal treaty rights violations, discrimination and police brutality targeting Native Americans. . . "

Right out of the gate you're lying. The F.B.I. hid evidence and prosecution failed to over all the evidence they had. The F.B.I. Agents lied on the stand. There was zero conclusive that Peltier murdered anyone. He was set up because of his ties the A.I.M. (American Indian Movement) and his defense of Native American Rights. But being braid dead MAGA MAGGOT you are, I would expect nothing less

No doubt exists that he murdered two FBI men. He is home. This is over.

I don’t think support for your assertion can be gleaned from crap like the Huff n Puff rag.

Whether the defendant did the deed or whether he got a fair trial is up in the air. But citing the Huff n Puff rag isn’t supportive.

What evidence did the government’s prosecutors hide?

Were the defects in his trial addressed by the courts which upheld the conviction?

He was set up because of his ties the A.I.M. (American Indian Movement)

. . . not unlike the same agencies that set up a bunch of MAGA protestors on Jan. 6.

While I would agree with that, if you read books about this case, you will know, that FBI agents admitted to tampering with evidence.

Just the fact that the gun found with Pelteir did not match the munitions that killed those agents? For most sane folks, that is enough to know something untoward was going on.

But there is no doubt he did it. You know it.
. . .and you are just being ignorant on a topic you demonstrate you know very little about.

Otherwise, when you inform yourself of reality, you are generally a sane poster.

. . . only wack jobs make up complete garbage claims about what I know and believe. That's called a fallacious argument.
