Leonard Cure shooting more than justified. Leftists weeping for the lost opportunity.

Deescalation is a policy. On one hand, the cop felt he should shoot to kill, and on the other, he could have just let him go. Which do you think is better, remembering that a life is precious?

They guy said he didn't want to go to jail. If the cop had just moved away, the man would have certainly have left.

You dont put hands on a cop, and you dont go the extra step and choke them...

Gee.....Just saying I dont want to go to jail and the cop lets you go?

Are you serious?

great plan dont arrest criminals release them to cause further crime in the neighborhood.

The officer escalated a moving violation into a lethal use of force incident.

That's on him.

The man's family is going to get a lot of money out of this county.
That spender escalated the situation and paid the price for his poor choices

It was a traffic violation. And what do criminals in general have to do with it?
He was driving reckless he could have killed people. And cops dont release criminals when they catch them because they might get hurt. The man CHOSE to ATTACK a cop. He CHOSE to try to strangle him. Everything that happened to him was HIS fault. And the cop did not shoot to kill he shot to subdue,

As soon as he became physical, the cop should have moved away from the man and let him go, instead of shooting him. There is no excuse for the shooting.

They had his information and could have arrested him later.
Or he could have just not gotten physical with the police officer and lives to fight the ticket in court. He choose poorly and paid the price for his actions

People make mistakes. You don't execute them for it.

For the record, I typed in Leonard Cure, the thugs name to see if any other threads were on this.....didn't pop up...

White cop, black thug, black thug gets shot by the white cop, and the left was rejoicing........

Until the police released the video footage from both the cops body cam and car.....

Much weeping began among the leftists for an opportunity to smear police, lost.......

The Camden County, Ga., Sheriff’s Office has released both body and dash camera footage. I’m wondering if they’ve seen it because there is so much evidence that Staff Sergeant Buck Aldridge tried literally every tool in his belt before using his firearm.
-----
Aldridge issues 14 commands and two direct warnings to Cure; Cure only argues. Aldridge deploys the taser, as promised.
----

Cure grabs Aldridge’s glasses and throws them on the ground. When Aldridge gets a free hand, he grabs his baton, swings it open, and tries to hit Cure with it. Cure’s hands are on Aldridge’s throat. The two continue to struggle with flowing traffic mere feet from them. As he chokes Aldridge, Cure says, “Yeah, b*tch. Yeah, b*tch.” This is when Aldridge drops the baton, grabs his gun, and shoots Cure in the gut. Cure falls to the ground; Aldridge calls “shots fired” on his radio; Cure tries to get up and viewers can catch a quick glimpse at what looks like a single bloodstain about the size of a golf ball on Cure’s white tank top.

You forgot the part where Cure pushes Aldridge out into fast moving traffic.
