When we go on and on about teachers like this filling all our schools, I would note very few of them are from small or midsized towns in say, Oklahoma, or Alabama, or even the upper Midwest.

99% of cops are great guys. 1% of them are Chauvin, Van Dyke, Wilson and the other clowns who never should have gotten a badge or a gun.

The problem is, the 99% feel a need to bend over backwards to protect the 1%.

Every problem cop involved in a high profile incident usually had dozens of previous incidents where they treated civil liberties like a suggestion. No one took that second look and either retrained them OR decided they needed to pursue other careers.

The problem is that while the cases of a police officer killing a person is rare (although really high compared to other industrialized countries), nearly every black person has had multiple experiences with being pulled over for a DWB (Driving while black), or being stopped and frisked, or hassled by police who enjoy their "authority" too much.

They don't need teachers to tell them what is obvious.

Should be a national teacher registry where if you get fired from teaching then it goes in the registry for all schools to access in case they try and go to another school.

Normally I detest registries and list keeping on people but when it comes to educating children the time is past when you could depend on most teachers having good intentions and being decent people with decent morals.
