It didn't mention a thing about revenue or assets or the dozen other factors involved in the economy of a sovereign nation. Without that involved in the discussion it just isn't an honest or accurate one.
I'm not saying our economy is perfect.... there is much room for improvement. But the edge of a cliff fear mongering has been going on for decades and the more I hear it the more I hear people who don't know what they are talking about.
To circle back to this discussion i'll just restate, just because we have high debt does NOT mean we are broke.

1. We don't need to know much more than the $37T DEBT, the $1T interest on that debt, and the current budget and current revenue, under Biden adding about $2T a year, under Trump tracking toward balance. Its simple math. More debt means a bad credit rating. Eventually the dollar collapses. It is "doomsday", unless we get fiscally responsible.

2. I gave you the revenue and budgets for the last three administrations. That is the honest and accurate picture.

3. Its not the US economy, its the Federal Budget and revenue. Every few years the budget needs to be tweaked to keep entitlements solvent. Medicare was fixed recently, Social Security needs to be fixed by 2035, etc. But the big problem that needs to be fixed is the DEBT. We can't keep borrowing. We knew this simple fact or decades, but did nothing. They do know what they are talking about, the longer we wait the more severe the cost cutting.

4. When you borrow $2T a year you are broke. When the lenders stop buying your junk bonds, you are broke. Its coming soon.

No, the first term was Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, then the Mueller Investigation, then Impeachment #1, then Impeachment #2. Trump-47 knows what he's doing, and has Republican majorities in the House & Senate, and he has Elon Musk and DOGE.
The 2025 GOP House budget is $6.1T, down from Biden's $7.3T. Revenue is about $4.5T, so that is a $1.6T deficit minus any spending cuts DOGE can get congress to approve. Biden's $2T deficit will be reduced, the House budget will automatically reduce the tax cut if necessary.
