5One of the cool things about our country are those big old train stations you find on the middle of big cities. They all seem to be named either Penn or Union station. Washington, New York, Kansas city, Chicago. What is that style? Greek Classical? Today as I walked up to the beautiful old train station in Baltimore (there are nymphs carved into the marble walls), I braced myself for the "art" some philistines apparently at some point decided was the best possible thing to greet visitors to Baltimore as they left the station.
You can't imagine what an aggressive attack on good taste this monstrosity is. Right smack dab in the middle of this big beautiful old ornate building with its attention to proportion and detail its this visual View attachment 140650
