When unions got the mindset to fight against companies consolidating logistics routes (eg Philadelphia Union mandating Tastycake have multiple trucks driving different products on the same route), that’s when unions began hurting more workers than helping them.Imagine if unions had stayed as strong as they were in the 50s and 60s. NATFA and the other trade deals never pass, and much of our manufacturing base might still be active. To say nothing of the harm caused by unemployment and poverty.
If Unions want to be helpful and put the worker first, push back on egregious regulations (eg climate) and compliance.
