James Comer is definitely demanding a recount:

Scott Jennings on Twitter COMER CONFIRMS HE IS ASKING FOR RECANVASS FROM THE STAGE IN KYGOV ...down 83 votes right now w 100 in

However, recounts in KY do not mean that each ballot is hand recounted.

Lexington KY local and state news by the Lexington Herald-Leader Kentucky.com

In a recanvass, printed vote totals are checked against figures sent to the state Board of Elections. No individual votes are actually recounted.

This means that Mr. Bevin's razor-thin +0.04% margin is likely not going to change. Wait and see.

This is the second time that Bevin, a Tea Party favorite in KY, has challenged a GOPer in a primary. In 2014, he lost in the primaries against incumbent Mitch McConnell. This time, he may actually get a crack at the General Election.

Jack Conway is also a very well known Democrat in KY and will make this a hotly contested race to replace Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear, who was term-limited according to Kentucky law. Steve Beshear was elected to his first term in November 2007, with 60% of the vote and again, in 2011, after the 2010 Tea Party wave, he still won re-election, with 56% of the vote in a three-man race.

Though this race is likely to tell us absolutely nothing about the upcoming presidential election in 2016, I think it is going to be fascinating to watch.

It also means that a certain amount of Kentucky polling is likely to come in in the next months, likely also with presidential matchups, Hillary vs. GOP prospectives...
