They are a private foundation, and they can do what they want.
And if what they want to do is not in the interests of their donors, then their donors, as private citizens, are free to not donate to them.
Which, in all probability, (due to the nature of the majority of Komen's donors and activist supporters) will effectively bankrupt the foundation.
Which is the whole point.
So, the point of my OP was that people should tell Komen that what they are doing will put them out of business.
That way they have the ability to choose to go forward with their plan, or not, with full knowledge of the consequences of their actions.
